In the demesne of Hillvale, a young scientist with a perfect memory struggles to gain admission into the Academy of Stars when she stumbles across documents many dark powers seem to be interested in. REVIEW

Typically a book cover like this wouldn't appeal to me, but I really felt like it went with the story. So kudos to K. Hippolite for not going with the norm. One thing that the novel and the cover have in common was the way they are both so vivid. I loved the descriptions and really felt like I was drawn into the world. The characters were all very interesting and not one dimensional. This is a wonderfully written Fantasy/Sci-Fi/Steampunk novel with even some Romance thrown in.

  1. It surprised me. Intelligent, witty, and entertaining.

  2. The cover was a strange thing indeed. I told the artist I was inspired by the old Rocket Robinhood cartoon and provided some 50's pulp sci-fi magazines. This is what I got back. The moment I saw it, I knew it didn't match the genre but I was in love.
